The Urban Rest Stop is a hygiene center in downtown Seattle that has been providing free restrooms, showers and laundry facilities to homeless men, women and children since 2001. It is a clean, safe and dignified environment that has 5 private shower rooms, 5 washer and dryer units, and a large men's restroom. Patrons receive free toiletries, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable razors, shaving cream, shampoo and soap.
By providing access to essential hygiene services, the Rest Stop improves the self-sufficiency of homeless individuals and families. The URS is open seven days a week, with extended hours specifically designed to assist homeless persons who are working or seeking employment.

Laundry appointments can be made by phone Monday - Thursday only.
Shower appointments must be made in person.
